Does art fit in a garment?
D.N.I. seeks to create bridges between art and design through a shared dialogue between an artist and the brand.
For this first edition, Peruvian artist Fabiola Gonzáles has created a work based on a family photograph:
An image from 1995, taken at the port of Malabrigo, where the designers appear alongside their mother.
Memory —the central axis of the D.N.I. universe— finds an echo here in the sensitivity of Fabiola Gonzáles, where recollection becomes raw material.
The result: a shirt born from this work, produced in a limited edition of only 10 pieces, signed by the artist.
Once again, D.N.I. questions the boundaries between art and design, posing an open question:
Does art fit in a piece of clothing?
