“MY GRANDFATHER DIED DANCING”

Although closeness did not define my relationship with him, my grandfather, like me, was a twin.
This shared “twinhood” is the foundation of this collection, which explores duality through colors, symbols, and textures in constant interaction.
The brocades he used to wear are transformed into embroidery, while popular iconographic elements, such as those from rotisserie shops, are reimagined.
Motifs inspired by my childhood, like the Tipuana Tipa tree, now bloom across the pieces.
Through this collection, the memory of a living celebration takes shape—of traditions and family bonds.
